Do you have unused products that you don’t use all the time but have been using them for a long time?
If your answer is yes, then it is probably time to throw them away.
To help you with this, we provide you the following tips and information.
How long can a product be used after it has been opened the first time:
Have you seen on the Dr.Temt products this little symbol and have wondered what does this symbol mean?
The symbol shows an open jar with a number and the letter M in the middle.
This means it’s safe to use the product for that many months (for example: 12 M) after it has been opened the first time, it’s good for 12 Months if properly stored.
TIP: Apply a sticker to the product and write the date when you are opening it, so you easy remember when you start using this product.
Does a product have an expiration date?
Good question!
The answer is YES.
If you have a product that you purchased long time ago and don’t know if you can still use it, even when the product is still originally closed, then look for the batch number.
The batch number can be a number only or a combination of letters and numbers. The batch number can usually found on the bottom of a jar and on the fold of a tube but often also on the product box.
By providing this batch number, the manufacturer will be able to provide the information if the product can be still used or not.

In the European Union, cosmetics products with a shelf-life of at least 30 months are not required to carry a “best used before end of….” (expiration date). Instead, there has to be “an indication of the period of time after opening for which the product can be used without any harm to the consumer”.
